Centre of Taiwan Studies - SOAS University of London
Since 1999, the University of London’s Centre of Taiwan Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) is a driving force in Taiwan studies. Their activities are focused on teaching, publishing and organising academic events.

The Institute of Sociology was founded in 1928. Over the course of its existence, it has strived to accumulate and expand sociological knowledge, by studying the organizing principles, operational processes and historical change of society. It emphasizes both Taiwan Studies and the study of neighboring societies and Chinese societies at large.

The Centre for Studies on China, Korea and Japan (UMR 8173 Chine, Corée, Japon) is the largest French research centre for studies on East Asia. Founded on January 1, 2006, this joint research unit brings together the Centre for Studies on Modern and Contemporary China, The Centre for Korean Studies and the Centre for Japanese Studies.
